Deal Us In Casino Staff Training is mandatory for all casino and racing entertainment centre (REC) full-time and part-time registered gaming workers.
In this program, you will learn:
How to do your duty of care and prevent foreseeable harm

Basic gambling ideas and how gambling works
The signs of healthy, responsible gambling
How to recognise the signs of high-risk gambling and gambling addiction
What to say to players whose beliefs about gambling are not true and may be harmful
What to do if a player asks you for information or help

Facts about alcohol and intoxication
The laws, policies and best practises for dealing with problem customers: minors, intoxicated patrons, VSE program registrants and patrons involved in illegal activities
AGLC policy requires industry workers to be certified with all SMART certifications required for their respective position(s) within 30 days of their employment start date, or before the expiry date noted on the certificate(s). AGLC policies are online at aglc.ca .
